We at Grannies, Inc. believe that there's a designer inside everyone. Yep, a little Klein, McQueen, McCartney or Westwood (Vivienne, not Tim) sat patiently somewhere within just ready and waiting to leap out. We think that, given the correct tools, people can design all kinds of weird and wonderful things. Here at Grannies, Inc. the focus is on beanies (aka woolly hats). We want people to embrace their artistic flair and combine it with the ever-growing desire to become individual in fashion. You know what suits you best, so why restrict yourself to what you find on the shelf?

You're all individuals

Why not decide for yourself what you wear on your head? Whether you're topping off your new neon snowboard outfit, vintage leather jacket, or just to make a statement, you know what you want in a beanie and that now there's a place you can create it. Have you ever glanced across a crowded aprés ski bar and, amidst the clattering of ski boots and steins of beer, spotted the best beanie you've ever seen shining in the sunlight? Or been at a festival when, even though there are 12 stages, 7 tents and an entire circus within the grounds, you always seem to spot the same stranger in the crowd from the beanie they're wearing? Well now you can make sure that what you wear on your head makes a statement. It's a piece of clothing after all - give it the same respect you give your jeans.

So basically, we'll provide you with a blank canvas beanie and the tools to create a design especially for you. Customise it how you wish. Go crazy. You might be surprised by how imaginative you really are.

Leave it to the professionals

And that’s not even the best bit... We only use 100% wool yarn and to make sure your beanie is a true one-off, it will be hand-knitted by one of our grannies, because who knows more about knitting than grannies? No-one, that’s who! You see, we believe in our grannies. They're all lovely people who have been knitting for years and years and are running out of people to knit for. We can vouch for the quality of their work and the warmth of their hearts. We reckon you'll be so happy with your new beanie you'll want to send them a thank you card.
