Custom Commissions

Our team of knitting grannies are ready to take on pretty much any knitting or crochet project that is thrown their way so if you have a specific request for something not available on our website then please do get in touch. We get all kinds of wild and wonderful requests for knitwear and absolutely love turning people's ideas into reality. We'll do everything we can to meet your requirements.

Case Study: Happy Feet 2 Premier

One of our most challenging but most fun projects stemmed from the Warner Brothers animated movie 'Happy Feet Two'. We were contacted by Premier PR who were managing the London premier of the movie and were looking for a totally bespoke piece of knitwear to fit over the film's giant sign. With very tight deadlines and strict specifications we were able to source the correct colour yarns, design and knit the sign in time, on budget. We even managed to overcome the huge hurdle of mounting the knitwear on the 4m wide sign!

As a thank you to Granny Ceri, who helped knit the ginormous sign, we took her and her two grandchildren along to the glitzy premier in London's Leicester Square.

Case Study: Freeride World Tour 2010

We were thrilled to be asked to produce the Nissan team beanies for the Freeride World Tour in 2010. Working closely with key decision makers in both the UK and France we produced 6 different styles of beanie for staff and athletes, embroidered with the Nissan logo for the essential visability of their brand throughout the tour.

Case Study: PHD Global Meeting

Being a loyal personal customer of Grannies, Inc. Vicky Bloyce could think of no-one better to produce team hats for her company, PHD's, global meeting in Switzerland. Together with PHD we decided on 6 designs, varying only by pom pom colour to identify the 6 teams the meeting was split into. After designs were confirmed our fantastic team of knitters worked away to produce 60 beanies in the tight 2 week deadline we had.
