Granny Sherley

I am from North Wales and a proud grandmother to 7 grand-kids and 1 step grandchild. I have been knitting since my grandma taught me to knit socks at the age of 5 years old (many moons ago). She turned the heel I did the toes, during the war at school I was always the one to knit socks for the sailors. The years in between I have knitted all over the world. For famous people and for designers. When I have no knitting on the go (not very often) I am "scratchy", it's the best "nerve calmer" I know especially working patterns. My range of knitting spans from baby bootees to granddads jumpers, including home wares,toys and anything else that can be knitted. My family are still wearing some woollies that are at least 30-35 years old and still like new. My son still has his " Starsky & Hutch " jacket and is proud it is back in fashion.
